Grab your partner and clear your calendar for October 23, 2026. The Spokane Whiskey Festival pours into the Spokane Valley Event Center that night, and it’s bringing 70+ spirits, live music, and tastings straight to the Valley.

FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE FESTIVAL

There are two ways to attend. VIP tickets get you in the door 90 minutes early, at 5 pm, for an exclusive hour of premium pours you won’t find on the general list, plus an Italian pasta buffet dinner and a proper Glencairn tasting glass to take home. General admission opens at 6:30 pm with the full lineup: 70+ spirits spanning whiskey, bourbon, rye, Scotch, Irish whiskey, rum, and international and Pacific Northwest distillers, plus a souvenir shot glass. Live music and a photo booth fill the gaps between pours, so this isn’t a stand-around-and-sip kind of night.

The Event Center sits right off I-90, so a rideshare from most Valley hotels takes minutes, not a cross-town trek. And if one of you is on designated-driver duty, parking at the venue is free, so there’s no hunting for a spot or feeding a meter every hour.

A WEEKEND FOR TWO

The whiskey doesn’t have to be the whole trip. Spokane Valley sits at the center of everything the Inland Northwest has to offer. Extend the night into a weekend trip and let Saturday and Sunday move at whatever pace you want.

SLOW MORNINGS AND OPEN AIR

Start easy. The Spokane River Centennial Trail runs through Spokane Valley along Mirabeau Point Park, a flat, paved stretch that’s built for a slow bike ride or walk along the water. If you’d rather stay closer to your hotel, the Appleway Trail covers about 6 miles through the heart of the Valley on an old rail corridor.

ORCHARDS AND APPLE CIDER

Green Bluff sits about 20 minutes north of Spokane Valley, and its Fall Harvest Festival runs weekends throughout October, with apple picking, fresh-pressed cider, wagon rides, and craft booths spread across the district’s family farms. Weekends get busy, and some farms like Walters Fruit Ranch charge a small parking fee during the festival, so plan to arrive earlier in the day if you want to skip the line.

WINE TASTING

Latah Creek Wine Cellars is right in Spokane Valley, open daily 9 am to 5 pm. Arbor Crest Wine Cellars surrounds the historic Cliff House Estate, open daily from noon to 5 pm, and its bluff-top patio looks out over the Spokane River valley, worth the visit for the view alone.

RIVERFRONT PARK

Downtown Spokane’s Riverfront Park is about 15 minutes from your hotel and makes an easy half-day add-on. Walk the pedestrian bridges over the falls, take in the Gesa Pavilion’s arched steel canopy, and find the historic Clocktower near the water. The Numerica SkyRide gondola glides over the falls for an entirely different angle on the park.

LAKE COEUR D’ALENE

Coeur d’Alene is about 30 minutes east on I-90. Downtown CDA has more than 100 shops and restaurants, plus the marina’s floating boardwalk, often cited as the world’s longest, for a slow walk along the water. For something more active,  Tubbs Hill is a 2-mile loop hike with the lake in view throughout.

BOOK YOUR GETAWAY TODAY

Friday night is the festival.  Everything after is up to you: a river walk, an orchard visit, a wine flight, or a lake afternoon in Coeur d’Alene, all reachable from one Spokane Valley hotel room. Stay close to the venue and let the rest of the weekend build itself around it.
